Golf Courses

The course is a loop of 18 holes that generally follow the valleys through a variety of landscapes ranging from ancient Moonah woodlands to open links land. The fairways are generous and the putting surfaces gentle, but the bunkering style is bold and wild in appearance.

Each hole on the Legends Course is named in honor of a past Australian Open champion, adding a historical dimension to the round. The course is known for its strategic design, requiring thoughtful shot-making and offering panoramic views from elevated tees. Notable holes include the par-5 1st hole, which sets the tone with its rolling fairway and challenging bunkers, and the par-3 16th, featuring one of the largest greens in the Southern Hemisphere.

Beyond its playing surface, Federal features a welcoming clubhouse with dining, event facilities, and a full pro shop.  The club also has a rich tournament heritage, having hosted events such as the U‑Bix Classic in the 1980s.

Since 1939, Tanunda Pines has been located on its current site at Pioneer Avenue, Rowland Flat. The current greenkeepers lunchroom, adjacent to the fifth tee block was the original clubhouse. This clubhouse witnessed the generous contribution and support of the members through difficult times. These members saw the club grow from a 9-hole course to the current 18-hole championship course.

Barnbougle Lost Farm is a 20 hole Links Golf course on Tasmania's north east coast. Designed and constructed by world renowned US golf course design company Coore & Crenshaw, the Lost Farm course is situated on Barnbougle Farm adjacent to the Barnbougle Dunes Course which opened in December 2004.

The par-71 layout spans approximately 5,790 meters from the championship tees. Notable holes include the 7th, a 375-meter dogleg par 4 with a blind tee shot descending into a steep fairway, and the 8th, a picturesque par 3 surrounded by a 35-megalitre irrigation dam nestled against native bushland.

The course has hosted numerous professional tournaments, including the Australian PGA Championship from 2002 to 2012 . Notable golfers such as Bubba Watson, Adam Scott, Y.E. Yang, Greg Norman, and Darren Clarke have competed here, highlighting its status in the golfing community.

Facilities at Palmer Coolum Resort include a 250-meter driving range, practice greens, a fully equipped pro shop, and professional instruction from PGA-certified staff. The resort also offers dining options like the Palmer Grill and Club Parisien, providing a variety of cuisines and refreshments
