The layout is testing but fair. An abundance of natural timber defines the narrow, undulating fairways culminating in well protected greens whose pace and subtle slopes require skill and demand respect. Peter Thomson, at the time of his win in the 1972 Australian Open Championship probably best described Kooyonga from the player’s point of view when he said ‘It needs to be played with the head as much as the hands’.

Kooyonga Golf Club is a wonderful example of a championship golf course in undulating sand hills just 15 minutes from Adelaide. Host to five Australian Opens and three Australian Amateur Championships as well as numerous South Australian Opens and Amateur Championships

Terms & Conditions

Strict Dress Code applicable including:

MEN: Golf attire is expected to consist of a polo shirt with collar, tailored slacks or knee length tailored shorts. Traditional golf shoes are to be worn. Soft spike only. No Denim

LADIES: Traditional golf attire is requested. Tailored slacks, skirts and long shorts are acceptable. Polo shirts with a collar are to be worn at all times.

CLUBHOUSE MEN AND LADIES: Golf attire is expected in the bar and accepted on application in the dining room. 

 WET WEATHER POLICY Should the golf course be deemed unplayable on the day of your event your deposit may be held over for a future event to be held within 12 months.
